Pankaj Tripathi will receive the ‘Artist of Distinction’ honour at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026, recognising his contribution to Indian cinema.
This will mark the first time the National Award-winning actor personally attends the festival in Melbourne, Australia, to receive the honour.
IFFM 2026 will run from August 13 to 23.
Rani Mukerji is also set to be honoured at the same festival, receiving an Honorary Doctorate, with both actors headlining the event.
Tripathi’s career includes roles such as Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur and Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning performance in Mimi, and appearances in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
