Spider-Man: Brand New Day has raced past the Rs 100 crore net mark at the Indian box office within just two days of its theatrical release, according to trade tracking portal Sacnilk. The Tom Holland-led superhero film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and distributed by Sony Pictures, opened in Indian cinemas on Thursday, July 30, 2026, a day ahead of its global release on July 31.
On its opening day, the film collected Rs 60.60 crore net in India, translating to a gross of Rs 71.51 crore, figures that trade watchers described as one of the strongest openings of the year for a Hollywood release in the country.
Day 2 collections came in at Rs 49.35 crore net, a dip of 18.6% compared to the opening day, with the film playing across 16,902 shows nationwide and recording an overall occupancy of 64.8%.
The two-day cumulative net collection now stands at Rs 109.95 crore, comfortably crossing the Rs 100 crore milestone before the film has even completed its opening weekend.
The film released across English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions in Indian theatres, widening its reach beyond metro multiplexes into single-screen cinemas in smaller cities.
Trade observers will be watching Saturday and Sunday numbers closely to see whether the film can sustain its pace through the rest of its opening weekend and into the following week.
The film also stars Zendaya and Sadie Sink reprising their roles alongside Tom Holland, with the returning cast a key draw for opening-weekend audiences in India.
Trade analysts note that Thursday releases have become common practice for major Hollywood titles in India, allowing an extra day of collections before the traditional Friday-to-Sunday opening weekend window.
Multiplex chains reported houseful shows for evening and night slots in metro cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru through the first two days of release.
