There are moments in life when a person does not need money, fame or luxury. They simply need someone to say, “I am here.”
For many elderly people living in old-age homes, that simple reassurance can mean everything.
Actor and producer Veeir Chaudary, who has been working in the film industry since 2005, understands the importance of that emotional connection. Alongside his professional career, he regularly contributes to social causes and visits old-age homes every weekend with food and essential supplies.
For Veeir, these visits are not merely about delivering food. They are about respect.
They are about remembering the parents and elderly people who spent decades caring for their families.
Veeir strongly believes that children should never forget the sacrifices made by their parents. He feels that leaving elderly parents alone is a painful issue that society needs to address with greater sensitivity.
The question he wants people to ask themselves is simple: if our parents stood beside us when we were helpless, who will stand beside them when they become dependent on us?
His compassion extends far beyond human beings.
Every day, Veeir feeds more than 100 animals, including dogs, cows and birds.
He says that seeing a hungry animal can disturb him deeply. If he knows that an animal around him has not eaten, he finds it difficult to feel completely at peace.
“If they are hungry, how can I sleep peacefully?”
That thought reflects the emotional connection he has developed with these voiceless beings.
Whenever Veeir sees dogs or cows outside his home, he says he sees God in them. For him, caring for animals is another way of expressing gratitude to the Almighty.
After nearly 21 years in the entertainment industry, Veeir has experienced many phases of life. The film industry has taught him about patience, hard work, uncertainty and perseverance.
But his social work has taught him something different—the value of being useful to someone who needs help.
Veeir considers himself blessed that God has given him the ability to contribute to the lives of others.
He believes that perhaps there is a reason certain people and animals cross our paths.
Perhaps some are placed in our lives because they need our support.
This belief has become a source of happiness for him.
A meal given to a hungry dog.
Food taken to an elderly person.
Water offered to a thirsty animal.
A few moments spent making someone feel remembered.
These may look like small gestures, but for the person or animal receiving them, they can mean everything.
Veeir Chaudary’s journey is therefore not only about the world of films.
It is also about a man trying to use whatever he has been given to make another life a little easier.
And perhaps that is one of the most beautiful ways to say thank you to life.
