Sensex surges 587 points as IT stocks rally on reopening

The Sensex rose 330.92 points to close at 77,264.51 on Friday, while the Nifty50 gained 84.80 points to 24,175.65, led by a sharp rally in IT stocks.
Sensex fell 281 points to 77,728 and Nifty settled at 24,288 on Monday, dragged down by IT stocks and elevated crude oil prices.
The Sensex closed marginally lower at 76,765.92 and the Nifty 50 settled at 23,985.35 on Tuesday, as gains in IT stocks were offset by a sharp fall in Hindustan Unilever.
