Reliance Industries reported a record second-quarter profit of about Rs 29,550 crore, up about 34%, and its shares jumped on November 2 to lead a third straight day of gains for the Sensex and Nifty.
The Sensex fell 125.56 points to 73,123.83 and the Nifty 50 lost 87.65 points to 22,600 on October 23, the Sensex’s fourth straight fall, as Brent crude rose to about 114 dollars and midcap and smallcap indices dropped more than 2%.
