The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, declared the Class 12 supplementary examination result along with HSC +1 arrears results on Thursday, July 31, 2026, for students who could not clear one or more subjects in the main board exams.
A total of 60,527 students appeared for the supplementary examination, which was conducted between June 28 and July 7, 2026, according to the DGE.
Students can check and download their provisional marksheets from the official portals tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in by entering their registration number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
To pass, students need a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in theory-only subjects, while subjects with a practical component require at least 15 marks in theory combined with an overall total of 35 marks.
Those unsatisfied with their marks can apply for revaluation between August 4 and 5 at their respective District Assistant Director offices, between 11 am and 5 pm, for a fee of Rs 275 per subject.
The regular Class 12 result for 2026, declared on May 8, had recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.20%, with the supplementary round aimed at students who fell short in that main examination.

The Directorate of Government Examinations conducts supplementary exams separately for Class 10 and Class 12, along with arrears papers for Higher Secondary First Year students who did not clear all subjects.
Students who remain dissatisfied with their supplementary marks can also apply for a photocopy of their answer sheet in addition to revaluation, a facility offered by the DGE for a separate fee.
