The International Cricket Council on Thursday, July 30, 2026, unveiled 12 host venues and the official tournament brand for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, to be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
South Africa will host the bulk of the 14-team, 57-match tournament across eight venues: the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, Centurion in Tshwane, Newlands in Cape Town, Kingsmead in Durban, St George’s Park in Gqeberha, Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, Boland Park in Paarl and Buffalo Park in KuGompo City.
Zimbabwe will stage matches at three venues — Harare Sports Club, Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and the Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls — while Namibia’s sole venue, the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, completes the list.
The tournament is scheduled to run from October to November 2027, with ICC chair Jay Shah saying the unveiling of the host cities and tournament brand ‘signals the start of a journey that will unite fans around the world.’
ICC chief executive Sanjog Gupta added that the brand reflects ‘the energy, ambition and spirit of the event,’ with every host city set to offer fans a distinct experience during the tournament.
The announcement comes more than a year before the tournament’s scheduled start, giving host boards time to prepare infrastructure and ticketing for what will be cricket’s next global 50-over showpiece.
This will be the first men’s ODI World Cup hosted on African soil in 24 years, following South Africa’s staging of the 2003 edition alongside Zimbabwe and Kenya.
The tournament brand and logo were unveiled alongside the venue list at a ceremony designed to build momentum for the event more than a year ahead of the opening match.
South Africa’s eight venues include several grounds with a long Test cricket history, including Newlands in Cape Town and the Wanderers in Johannesburg, both regular hosts of international matches.
