Delhi Traffic Police advisory lists roads to avoid near Parliament

Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory covering the New Delhi Range for the duration of Parliament’s ongoing Monsoon Session.

Roads likely to see congestion include Rafi Marg, Motilal Nehru Marg, Maulana Azad Road, K Kamaraj Marg, Raisina Road, Rajendra Prasad Road, Parliament Street, Ashoka Road, Talkatora Road, Pandit Pant Marg and Rakab Ganj Gurudwara Road.

Commuters have been advised to use alternate routes such as Janpath, Man Singh Road, Akbar Road, Teen Murti Marg, Shanti Path, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Panchsheel Marg and Vinay Marg.

The Outer Circle of Connaught Place, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent Road, Sardar Patel Marg and the roundabout near Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital remain open for transit.

The special traffic arrangements will stay in place until the session concludes on August 13, 2026.

Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time.
