Srinagar Airport’s flight operations remain curtailed to an 8 am-5 pm window daily, a restriction in place since April 6 for an Indian Air Force runway upgrade.
The curtailment, which runs until July 31, 2026, marks a temporary shift from the airport’s usual operating hours of 8 am to 10 pm.
Around 60 flights, including arrivals and departures, normally operate daily at the airport within the standard window.
The restricted hours are aimed at facilitating the runway upgrade to improve operational efficiency and safety standards.
Authorities have indicated that flight frequency is expected to increase in line with the summer schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation once the works conclude.
